Creating a profile is the first part of getting started. Email verification and brokerage identity verification are separate steps; registering alone does not mean your investing account is approved.
Before you start
Use an email address you can access and a password you do not use elsewhere.
01Enter your registration details
Open the sign-up screen and enter the requested username, email address, and password. Re-enter your password and resolve any validation messages before continuing.
02Read the account documents
Open and read the terms and disclosures presented during registration. Complete the required acknowledgements only after you have reviewed them, then submit your registration.
03Verify your email
Follow the email-verification instructions shown after registration. Check that the email address is correct and use the verification message sent to that address. Never share a verification code with someone else.
04Continue to account setup
Once your profile is ready, follow the account-opening prompts to provide your identity and brokerage information. Check your application status before trying to fund or trade.
Keep in mind
If your email is already registered, use the sign-in or password-recovery flow instead of creating another profile.
