How we evaluate Shariah compliance

All securities made available through Asal Invest are reviewed through a structured screening process designed to assess business activities, financial ratios, and continued eligibility over time.

Business Activity Screening

We exclude companies primarily involved in non-permissible activities such as interest-based finance, alcohol, gambling, adult entertainment, pork-related products, tobacco, and other non-compliant industries.

Non-Permissible Income

Revenue from non-permissible sources must not exceed 5% of total revenue.

Interest-Bearing Debt

Interest-bearing debt must not exceed 30% of market capitalization.

Interest-Based Assets & Securities

Cash & Receivables Considerations

Cash and accounts receivable are evaluated as part of our screening process to support alignment with Shariah principles.

Ongoing Monitoring
